Standard vs Sport riding position ergonomics
For the default rider (560 mm torso, 320 mm upper arm, 340 mm forearm, 450 mm thigh, 450 mm shin, 840 mm inseam (about 33 in)), the standard position models to a 72.4 deg knee angle, 72.1 deg elbow angle, and +20 mm inseam-minus-seat gap; the sport position models to a 63.4 deg knee angle, 68.8 deg elbow angle, and +30 mm inseam-minus-seat gap. Computed with the Rider Triangle geometry model, reviewed 2026-09-11.
| Metric | Standard | Sport |

Reading the comparison
Standard is described editorially as "upright & centered" and sport as "forward & tucked". The difference in modeled knee and elbow angle above comes from the different footpeg, handlebar, and lean coordinates in each preset category, applied to the same rider limb lengths; it is not a claim about any specific manufacturer's motorcycle. A larger knee or elbow angle is closer to straight. Load your own limb measurements into the simulator and switch between the two presets under Your motorcycle to compare against your body instead of the default rider used here.
